Complete List of Abarth Car Models

The Italo-Austrian man in 1949 founded and named the racing car and road car maker company as Abarth & C. S.p.A that was established in Bologna. The logo of the car was based on his astrological sign i.e. a stylized scorpion on a yellow and red background. This car company is a segment of FCA Italy S.p.A. which is also a portion of a bigger company named Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles.

History

In 1947, Carlo Abarth identified as the sporting director of the Cisitalia factory racing team. As in 1948, he noticed the downfall of Cisitalia and decided to restart by making a fresh initiative, thus named as Abarth & C.

As the fresh restart was initiated the cars of Cisitalia were then renovated and remodel into Abarth Cars. Well, the company is known for racing cars, they added the new fellows to the team named Franco Cortese, Piero Taruffi, and Tazio Nuvolari.

They also involved the production and marketing of Car accessories and various parts of it for increasing the financial value of a company. Their regular buyers and purchasers included the name of well-known companies i.e. Lancia Automobiles, Fiat, Cisitalia and Simca.

In the year 1951, Abarth shifted their headquarters to Turin and there they had a bond with Fiat which then turned to the largest manufacturer in Italy a year after. The company had their competitors and they were too the big companies named the Porsche 904 and Ferrari Dino.

Finally, in 1971, Carlo sold his company to fiat. Usually, Fiat was not participating in any of the car racing events, so they made a new deal with Enzo Osella to take over the activity of Abarth. Thus it was an end of Abarth team and then known as Osella Racing Team.
